Full Moon Meditation on an outdoor deck in the Dublin Mountains.

Yoga mat, check. Warm hat, check. Torch for your pocket, check. Oh yes, the best adventures include a bit of darkness!

Flickering candlelight, silver moonlight, flames from a log fire… it’s not just the sun that warms the soul. This Autumn and Winter join me for a monthly full moon meditation in Mutton Lane yoga studio in the Dublin Mountains, our own little haven under the stars with a wood-burning stove glowing inside. 

Full Moon Meditation, 7-8pm, 20th October, 19th November, 19th December. 

Arriving around 6.50pm, you make your way to the deck or the studio for some mindful movement to soften tight muscles and bring your awareness to sensations in the body as a focus for the mind. As the body softens our attention will drop, dropping into the breath, into the body, into deeper awareness. The class will be varied to include movement, breath-awareness and periods of stillness. We’ll close with a deep guided relaxation and make our way back to life in candle light and torch light. 

Suitable for everyone including: 

-Beginners and those back to yoga after a break.

-Experienced yogis curious about the meditative aspect of yoga, often those moments can be rushed, or more fleeting, in a faster-paced class.

-Anyone experiencing stiffness or tightness in the body.

-Anyone curious about mindfulness and meditation.

-Those of us who associate yoga with exercise and getting stronger/thinner/fitter/better; explore non-striving.

-Anyone needing to develop the skill of simply taking a pause in the midst of life.

Saturday morning two-hour yoga workshop are on once a month, 10am-12noon, in Mutton Lane. A strong yoga flow followed by Yoga Nidra tucked up in blankets under the trees. More details here, bookings via Eventbrite.
