Autumn Yoga News: retreats and workshops for the season and beyond

September 10, 2016by sylviafergusonin EventsMenmindfulnessNews,YogaYoga holidays

I know we’re all a little sad summer is over but who else is ready for hoodies, bonfires, crisp cool air, hot chocolate and beautiful colours?

As we prepare to hibernate it’s helpful to set a few intentions and make small plans to continue to live your live in a direction of your choosing. Maybe earlier to bed and an alarm set ten minutes early for a morning meditation in the cosiness of your bedroom to set you up for your day? Or a retreat or short break during your winter or a special holiday planned for next year?

My Autumn/Winter retreats are close to home for me. I have one last one soaked in luxury with Exotic Yoga Retreats in the West of Ireland in October. There are spaces available, this will be a small group of enthusiastic yogis blending effort with fun adventures www.exoticyogaretreats.com

Monthly Yoga Nidra workshops are on in The Yoga Hub in Dublin City Centre Sunday 18th September, Sunday 23rd October, Sunday 27th November and Sunday 18th December. December’s one is a little special with all proceeds going to a charity for the homeless. All workshops are two hours long to facilitate a good all round heart thumping yoga flow followed by a gradual descent into pure serenity and bliss! www.theyogahub.ie/workshops

Mini urban retreat runs in The Yoga Hub 27th, 28th and 29th December 11.30-1.30. Each practice a complete flow with a shift in focus each day for subtle, profound change to soak in. A perfect blend of effort and surrender. www.theyogahub.ie/workshops

I am very excited to be working with Exotic Yoga retreats in 2017 … March in Verbier, Switzerland for ski and yoga, August in Verbier for hill walking and yoga, September in beloved Umbria Italy for wine, dine and yoga. www.exoticyogaretreats.com

Embrace the new season yoga friends! “If we never experience the chill of a dark winter, it is very unlikely that we will ever cherish the warmth of a bright summer’s day. Nothing stimulates our appetite for the simple joys of life more than the starvation caused by sadness or desperation. In order to complete our amazing life journey successfully, it is vital that we turn each and every dark tear into a pearl of wisdom, and find the blessing in every curse.”
